John F. Terwilliger - President

John F. Terwilliger
John F. Terwilliger is the Company's Chairman & Chief Executive Officer. In addition, Mr. Terwilliger has served as the Company's President, Secretary and Chief Operating officer since its inception in April 2001. From 1988 to 2001, Mr. Terwilliger served as Chairman of the Board and President of Moose Oil and Gas Company, a Houston based exploration and production company focused on operations in the Texas Gulf Coast region. Prior to 1988, Mr. Terwilliger was Chairman of the Board and President of Cambridge Oil Company, a Texas based exploration and production company. John is a member of the Houston Geological Society, Houston Producers Forum, Independent Petroleum Association of America and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.



James J. Jacobs - Chief Financial Officer

James J. Jacobs
Mr. Jacobs served from April 2003 until joining the Company as an Associate and as Vice President in the Energy Investment Banking division at Sanders Morris Harris, Inc., an investment banking firm headquartered in Houston Texas. There he specialized in energy sector financings and transactions for a wide variety of energy companies. Prior to joining Sanders Morris Harris Mr. Jacobs worked as a financial analyst for Duke Capital Partners. At Duke Capital Partners Jay worked on the execution of senior secured, mezzanine, volumetric production payment, and equity transactions for exploration and production companies. Prior to joining Duke Capital Partners, Mr. Jacobs worked in the Corporate Tax Group of Deloitte and Touché LLP. Mr. Jacobs graduated from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas in Austin, where he received his B.B.A. Mr. Jacobs also received his Masters in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant.




Board of Directors

Lee Tawes
Mr. Tawes is Executive Vice President and Head of Investment Banking, Director at Northeast Securities, Inc. and board member of GSE Systems, Inc. and 100 Wall Energy Partners, LLC. From 2000-2001 he was Managing Director of Research for C.E. Unterberg, Towbin, an investment and merchant banking firm specializing in high growth technology companies. Prior to joining C.E. Unterberg, Mr. Tawes spent 20 years at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. and CIBC World Markets where he was Director of Equity Research from 1991 to 1999. While at CIBC, Mr. Tawes also acted as Chairman of the Stock Selection Committee, and member of the firm's Executive and Commitment Committees. As a food analyst, he was named to the Institutional Investor All America Research Team five times from 1979 through 1989. In addition to serving on the board of Houston American Energy, Mr. Tawes serves as Director for Baywood International, Inc., GSE Systems, Inc. and 100 Wall Energy Partners, LLC. Mr. Tawes is a graduate of Princeton University and received his MBA from Darden School at the University of Virginia.



Ted Broun
Mr. Broun is the owner/operator of Broun Energy, LLC, an oil and gas exploration and production company head quartered in Houston Texas. From 1994 to 2003 Mr. Broun co-founded and was Vice President and Managing Partner of Sierra Mineral Development, L.C., an oil and gas exploration and production company where he was responsible for reserve and economic evaluation of acquisitions, drill site selection and workover design. From 1992 to 1994 he was a partner and consultant in Tierra Mineral Development, L.C., where he evaluated, negotiated and structured acquisitions, workovers and divestitures of oil and gas holdings. From 1975 to 1992, Mr. Broun served in various petroleum engineering capacities, beginning as a petroleum engineer with Atlantic Richfield Company from 1975 to 1979 and Tenneco Oil Company from 1979 to 1982, rising to serve in various management capacities. From 1982 to 1990 he served in various management capacities for General Atlantic Resources including Acquisitions Manager, Vice President, Engineering, and Vice President, Houston District. From 1990 to 1992 Mr. Broun served as Vice President, Engineering and Acquisitions for West Hall Associates, Inc. Mr. Broun received his B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas and an M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Alaska.



Stephen Hartzell
Mr. Hartzell has over 28 years of experience as a petroleum geologist. Since 2003, Mr. Hartzell has been an owner / operator of Southern Star Exploration, LLC, an independent oil and gas company head quartered in Houston Texas. From 1986 to 2003, Mr. Hartzell served as an independent consulting geologist. From 1978 to 1986, Mr. Hartzell served as a petroleum geologist, division geologist and senior geologist with Amoco Production Company, Tesoro Petroleum Corporation, Moore McCormack Energy and American Hunter Exploration. Mr. Hartzell received his B.S. in Geology from Western Illinois University and an M.S. in Geology from Northern Illinois University.



John Boylan
Mr. Boylan has served as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Business Development for a privately owned independent oil and gas exploration and production company, since late 2003. Prior to his current experience, Mr. Boylan has served as President, CEO and Managing Partner of Birdwell Partners, a group of oil field services companies, from 1999 to 2003, and has served as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Business Development of Prolithic Energy Company, an independent oil and gas exploration company, from 1998 to 2002. Prior to entering the energy business in 2005, Mr. Boylan was a consultant and senior auditor providing professional services in a range of accounting, financial and project management roles, including service as a senior auditor for KPMG Peat Marwick from 1988 to 1990, service as a project management consultant for R.L. Townsend & Associates from 1990 to 1991 and service as senior associate project management consultant for Coopers & Lybrand Consulting from 1991 to 1995. Mr. Boylan holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas and a MBA Degree in Finance, Economics and International Business from New York University.
